I believe that the power of photojournalism lies in its ability to tell a story by recording a series of delicately chosen moments and preserving them both for the people who were present and for viewers distant in time and place.

I received my B.F.A. degree from The School of Visual Arts in New York City and honed my documentary skills while covering hundreds of political and corporate events. I soon learned that, especially when photographing presidents and premiers, you have only one chance to get it right. The skills I developed helped me to become a responsive and attentive wedding photographer.

My approach is a blend of photojournalism, fashion photography and modern portraiture. Most of the time, I avoid directing events and choose instead to let the day unfold around me. I capture the things about your wedding that often go unnoticed, creating a record of a series of defining moments in the lives of two families. The basic traditions are time honored and true, but the details are always unique and personal.

I derive special pleasure from being with my wife, Irina, and our son, Tyler.
